HOW TO START CODING AS COMPLETE BEGINNER

1. Select your goal. What you want to do with coding. What do you want to be? What you want to build. What will be your carrier after this?

2. After figuring out the first point select a programming language. If you just want to learn some basics. Go for C or C++. If you go more advanced pick Python. If you want to do web development, first learn html, css then go for javascript.

3. At first follow some online resources. Try to follow them at first.

4. Once you learn the basic topics of programming. Start building stuffs. Start with making a simple calculator or mile to kilo meter converter, BMI converter etc.

5. Once you are comfortable with the basics, either go for building live projects or programming contest.

6. Don’t be afraid to make mistakes. You will learn a lot from your mistakes.

7. Don’t give up no matter what. In most cases beginners give up after a few days. It takes a lot of patience at first. Just sit in front of your computer, try to understand the problem from a different perspective. If not, take a break and come back again.

8. Try to teach someone else. Suppose your friend or cousin who has zero knowledge. You may not have a lot of knowledge but it’s not zero. Teach him. It will make the topics much easier for you.

9. Try to have a learning partner. If you both are beginner then it is a great thing. You both can think on a problem. And solve them much faster.

10. Always Google your problem. Whenever you find any problem. Just go to Google and search for it. You will have a lot of people discussing over the problem. You will get your answer.

11. If you get any error message. Read it. Try to understand it. If you can’t figure it out, Google it.

12. Join a forum. There are a lot of online forums for programmers. Join some of them that suites you the best. See their discussions. You will learn a lot from them.

13. Try to have a mentor. It is the most important thing. You see programming is a huge thing with many opportunities. If need a person to guide you. Try to find some expert in your field as a mentor. He will guide you whenever you are stuck or need help or advice. Because he has already faced those problems and he knows how to deal with them.

14. Try to maintain a routine. It is really important to keep consistency. Doesn’t matter which level you are in. consistency is the game changer.

15. Always try to learn new topics and try to solve problems based on those. There are many online judges. Sign up on one of them and start practicing.
